Apex Academy of Professional Grooming & Animal Arts was founded with the goal to assist those who want to follow their dream in the pet industry and more specifically- in grooming. Whether you are going to the cats or going to the dogs, we would love to be a part of your journey.

Founded by Connie Buchanan B.ED. , a lifelong educator and grooming business owner. Connie’s dream is to elevate the grooming profession with higher skills, and business savvy.

Our 4000 square foot facility is equipped with 20 dog grooming stations, clipper-vac systems, & tub room. The cat area is in a separate area. Students experience the best in cat groom equipment with Catty Shak Vacs, to cat-appropriate stainless steel tubs and tables.
All theory classes for both dogs and cats are done in a second-floor classroom, equipped with grooming tables and a projector for instruction.
Multiple facets of learning, all under ONE roof
Zoom Zoom Groom and PreZoomably Cats have two very busy mobile grooming vehicles. The students get to experience the life of a mobile groomer and participate in several days on the road. Due to the fact that we also have a retail area, part of the business course will include adding extra revenues to your income.

Hello, I am so excited to teach you all about the grooming profession and what it takes to be a highly skilled professional groomer
I am proud to serve as the Lead Instructor at the Apex Academy of Professional Grooming and Animal Arts. My journey in the grooming industry began when I graduated from the Canine All-Inclusive Groomer Program in December 2020. Eager to put my skills into practice, I started my career with Zoom Zoom Groom, where I quickly established myself as a dedicated and skilled groomer.
In my pursuit of excellence, I expanded my expertise by earning my Certified Feline Master Groomer certification in July 2022, reflecting my commitment to mastering the art of grooming for both dogs and cats. This dedication and passion for the craft led me to another exciting chapter in my career when I was appointed Lead Instructor at Apex Academy in June 2022.
As Lead Instructor, I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and hands-on experience with my students. I strive to inspire and guide them, helping shape the future of professional grooming with the same dedication that has driven my own journey in this industry.

Hello. I will teach you from time to time. I am a professional Canine Pet Stylist and the manager of Apex Academy, Zoom Zoom Groom, and PreZoomably Cats.
My love for this industry runs deep. I’ve been a part of Zoom Zoom Groom since 2010, and I genuinely love what I do.
I never dreamed being a groomer could lead me to learn so many diverse skills, including management and business strategies.
Of course, I love nothing better than an adorable curly coat on my table, but grooming now is so much more than that!
I’m excited to work alongside Dakota and bring you all the learnings you need to have a successful, efficient, and profitable business.

Hi there, I'm Nicole, and I'm the crazy cat lady and instructor for the Feline Groomer Program.
I love nothing more than this cat world, and I love learning too.
I am a Certified Feline Master Groomer & a Canine Pet Stylist, but my true passion is cats.
I am a Certified Instructor for the National Cat Groomer's Institute, and I love mentoring and facilitating the learning of future CFMG's.
The cat grooming industry is bleeding for professional cat groomers, and I want to show you how to groom cats safely efficiently and enjoy the profitable rewards at the same time.
